PEOPLE: Tiffany Li, "Asians are Underrated in the industry"

It's a rainy day in New York but Tiffany Li is GLOWing!

We had the liberty of getting up close and in depth with the lovely Tiffanny Li, aspiring Fashion enthusiast and model based in New York.

Tiffany is an Elmhurst, Queens native and has had a passion for modeling ever since she was a little girl. She did not believe that she could follow through with her dream due to her eczema but she is determined to not let that be a defining factor in her career.

What are the biggest challenges you feel you may face as an independent artist?

Honestly, networking. I tend to be a little socially awkward so it can be challenging to put myself out there and take a chance. I'm an introvert but I love helping people at the same time if that makes any sense.

Who inspires you in the fashion industry?

Aimee Song. I feel like Asians are underrated in the industry and she definitely represents for us and I would like to do the same for others.

Thus far, what are some successes that you have had?

So far, I have done two collaborations with Alan King and Kevin Imongirie. Alan actually had a pop up recently and there were so many beautiful people there, it was a great opportunity for me to network and meet people who are on the same wavelength as me. Overall, I enjoyed it.

How do you react to hate?

I just think to myself, people must be bored or have way too much time on their hands to put someone down who is striving to achieve their dreams. Just block it out and keep doing you girl.

If you had to offer a vital piece of advice to aspiring models, what would it be?

PUT YOURSELF OUT THERE. Take chances and talk to a lot of people, because you'd be surprised what doors you can open by just talking. Use what you have and use it well. Most importantly, be friendly!
