BEAUTY: DIY Spa Day

In our daily lives we may have to work all day, care for family members, and spend hours in school completing intense work. Well, that may get stressful at times so, in order to relieve that stress, take a day or a few hours of the day to, rejuvenate your mind, body, skin, and hair with these tips:

Tip #1 : Pamper yourself

Be a little extra and get out all you beauty goodies, such as, the deep conditioners, exfoliators, nail strengtheners, and skin butters. You should do these different treatment throughout the week; you deserve to GLOW!

Tip #2: Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy has been practiced all around the world for years. I personally love it because it has many healthy benefits, such as, “reducing anxiety, easing depression, boosting energy levels, speeding up the healing process, eliminating headaches, and even boost/ strengthening the immune system” (Organic Facts). To practice aromatherapy, you simply light scented candles, or apply sweet scented lotion, preferably made with essential oils such as lavender or rosemary oil, on your body.

Tip #2: Take a therapeutic hot bath

Taking a hot bath is incredibly soothing being that the hot water can help exercise your blood vessels, help remove dead skin and relieve inflammation on the skin. All you need to do is run your bath, add in some liquid bubble soap, and if you're really ready to unwhine, add Epsom salt, it helps to relieve muscle soreness.

Tip #3: "Mask on, Mask off!" -Future

Put on a mask to further your DIY spa experience. Face masks are great for soothing the skin and drawing out any dirt or impurities you may not be able to get out with just washing with soap and water. One of my favorite masks to use is the Aztec Secret Indian healing clay mixed with Apple cider vinegar. Apply it to the skin and leave it for 10-20 minutes then wash it off. Your face should feel super clean.

At the end of the day, we are all human and every once and a while we may get stressed, tired, and overwhelmed. It is essential to take some time off to chill and rejuvenate your mental, physical, and spiritual state of mind to be one step closer to achieving optimal health.
